Just survive or THRIVE?

Many holistic practitioners are jumping on the bandwagon with use of the word thrive. It’s a fabulous word! A few months ago I changed my tag line to “empowering women to thrive, in body, mind and spirit!” It fully embraces how I feel about the passion of my coaching practice. This past weekend I volunteered at the Grassroots Music Festival in Trumansburg, and the energy there was amazing. Many commented on my calm and loving energy. It was an amazing experience to facilitate giving Reiki for 3 days straight in that beautiful atmosphere. It was a thrill to have others feel outwardly what I feel inside. Being in my groove, thriving! Webster defines thrive as: to grow or develop successfully; to flourish or succeed; to progress toward or realize a goal despite or because of circumstances. Life has ups and downs, we are all human. What if we enjoyed the journey instead of worrying about the destination? I often share with my clients that we are constantly evolving. Who we are today is not who we are tomorrow, or who we were yesterday. Enjoy the journey. Be gentle with yourself. Forget the scale! Forget calories! What makes you feel alive? Forget the gym membership, unless it makes your heart sing! What expression of movement do you love? Dance? Biking? Simply playing? Get creative! What are the gifts you are bringing to the world?
